In March 2022, people fleeing Ukraine converged on an assistance centre at Prague's Congress Centre. Long lines, made up largely of women and children, extended outside, and the centre temporarily stopped admitting new applicants after exceeding its capacity. Registration, accommodation, health insurance and other needs were handled at the same site.

What distinguishes this queue is that it was not for a single document. Several gateways to starting life in a new country were concentrated in one venue. The one-stop centre reduced travel between offices, but it also made the city's reception limit visible as a single line.
