In May 2021, residents of the Mama's Place community in Nasinu, Fiji, lined up to receive government food rations. The queue included an 80-year-old resident, while health, disaster-management, agriculture and water agencies helped with distribution.

What distinguishes this line is that it was not an application for a cash benefit. During movement restrictions, several public agencies were handing food directly to households in order. Infection control and basic subsistence met at the same distribution point.
