Tahu Kupat Pak Gombloh in Solo, Indonesia, began as a street stall in 1973 and is now run by the founder's daughter using the same recipe. The shop remains so busy that customers queue for an empty table. It opens daily from 6 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

A bowl combines rice cake, fried tofu, bakwan, noodles, cabbage, bean sprouts, peanuts and celery under a sweet savoury sauce. The wait is caused not by a limited edition but by scarce seats and a flavour deliberately kept consistent for nearly half a century. Even after the stall became a permanent shop, the first thing customers wait for is a chair.
