On the east side of Pasar Gede in Solo, Central Java, Nasi Liwet Bu Sri operates each morning from 6:30 to 11. A local food guide published in December 2022 says the modest, decades-old business is busy every day and regularly has a queue. Its breakfast combines coconut-rich rice with half a braised egg, shredded chicken and chayote, with optional additions such as liver, gizzard or wings.

The distinctive point is that demand is concentrated into a short breakfast window rather than accumulating incidentally through the day. Although the stall occupies a simple position near the market's fruit vendors, decades of repetition and one recognizable plate have made it a destination. Side dishes can vary, but the queue is organized around a combination identified with the city's morning. For a few hours, one corner of a produce market becomes the waiting room of a single breakfast shop.
