On 6 November 2008, residents queued for kerosene at the Losari depot in Solo, Indonesia. Supplies had been reduced for several months. To secure a place for the morning distribution, people began lining up their jerrycans at 11 p.m. the previous night. ANTARA’s photographic record shows buyers and their containers at the depot. Rather than requiring a person to stand through the night, the vessel that would carry the household fuel held the position. The queue was organised by one family container at a time.
